Hexham Rowing Club is a friendly rowing club, situated on a beautiful stretch of the river Tyne, at Tyne Green in Hexham.
Run by volunteers, we have sessions nearly everyday where our members enjoy water and land-based training. The club encourages anyone to enjoy the sport of rowing, either as a way to relax from the strains of modern living, for fitness and friendship or to compete locally and nationally.
We welcome new members who have prior rowing (or sculling) experience and hold regular ‘learn to row’ courses for adults and juniors from the age of 12 years old. We are also able to provide ‘rowing experiences’ for sports teams.
Hexham Regatta is held on the first Saturday of June and attracts crews and spectators from across the country. Well worth a visit if you want to see some exciting side by side racing!
