We offer two types of grants to support local sport:
- To support a talented individual living or taking part in sport in our area. With the aim of developing their skills further at county level or higher. The maximum grant is £250 and can be used for things like: kit, travelling and accommodation, event entries and coaching fees.
- To help volunteers coaching in our area to achieve recognised coaching qualifications. You can apply for a maximum of £150 or 50% of the course (whichever is the lesser). The coaching grants are only available to coaches of affiliated clubs and organisations in West Northumberland. To affiliate please sign up to the Sport Tynedale website here.
To maximise the number of sports clubs who can benefit, we limit the number of coaches from any one club who can apply for a grant each year as follows:-
| Size of Club | No of Members | Max no of coaches who can apply in one year |
| Small | Up to 25 | 2 |
| Medium | 26-49 | 3 |
| Large | 50+ | 4 |
Guidance notes are attached to each Word format form which can be downloaded below. Please read the conditions and guidelines in the forms carefully. If you have any questions about the grants, please email us on grants@sport-tynedale.com.
