The Thrills & Spills of Top Level Cycle Racing!Introducing Wilfred Pugh - one our region’s most prolific athletes, who has trained with One Life Racing (Hexham) for the last 6 years and has consistently performed at top-level nationally in Triathlon, Duathlon, Cyclocross and MT-biking. He has also been selected to train with British Cycling’s ‘National School of Racing’ for cross-country Mountain Biking and has also represented Team GB for mountain biking this Easter and Summer in the Netherlands and Romania.Despite the deep mud, intense heat, broken chains and bruised limbs he has relentlessly chased top spot during every fierce competition, and at the end of July Wilfred completed his GB ‘Power-Testing’, which is part of his application for British Cycling's Olympic Development Squad!Best of luck Wilfred! Watch this space - We'll know this month if he's made this year’s cut. Despite his undoubted drive, commitment and talent, we’ve all still got our fingers firmly crossed! 🤞💪💪
